In this presentation, Denis is building a bridge between self-management practices and Self-Determination Theory in psychology. The goal is to show how specific self-management practices are key in feeding people’s intrinsic motives and needs. This understanding will help us focus on the most important organizational factors to engage people and foster their performance and creativity.
We are observers and participants of a paradigm shift in management. More and more attention is focused on dynamic governance, which slowly, but inevitably replaces the so-called traditional management, hierarchical in the power-over meaning of the word. Different names are being used to describe organizations operating under the new model.
