Deborah Chang

Deborah Chang / 張元悅 is an educator, a collective impact consultant, and a rock climber. She’s founder of Youth Power Coalition, a nonprofit organization that develops youth leaders and adult allies to advocate for youth decision-making power in all spaces where decisions affecting young people are made, from nonprofit boards to city hall. Deborah’s experience with sociocracy includes implementing sociocracy within Youth Power Coalition and being a member of Sociocracy for All’s Mission and Fundraising circles. Her particular focus is on combining sociocracy and equity, as equity is a world where ALL people are equipped to thrive, whatever our race, gender, ability, class, or any other background or identity and sociocracy is a framework for people to collaborate in building that world.
