Scrum is today the most popular agile method, especially in product development, but also for other types of business. Many organizations struggle with managing different Scrum teams with different backlogs that often have different priorities. In this session we will discuss how sociocracy can be used as a governance model for Scrum and vice versa; how Scrum can be used within an organization based on Sociocracy. First the principles and then the challenges, pitfalls and success of Sociocratic Agile implementations in practice.

Rolf Medina - - Sociocracy For All

Rolf Medina has extensive experience in leadership development, organizational change, and the design and implementation of innovative management practices. He is co-author of the book “Teal. Trust. Transparency.: A New Way to Organize and Lead,” (in English first half of 2023) which explores the concept of “teal organizations” and how they can be designed to promote a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration. In addition, he is a frequent speaker and commentator on topics related to organizational culture, leadership, and innovation, and has, according to ChatGPT, been recognized as one of Sweden’s most influential management thinkers.
