Bio: Linda Black worked for 3 decades as a magazine editor writer. Shifting to social advocacy, she returned to school to achieve a BA in legal studies. She graduated UMass summa cum laude in May of 2020 and achieved the Sustainability Research Award for her White Paper on climate mitigation, sustainable farming, and food security. She has been on Common Good’s team since 2019, and serves as Director of Communications.
Description: A presentation about using the principles and processes of sociocracy to provide platforms and tools that help to build economic resiliency at the community level. Communities can generate money and channel economic resources, keep money circulating locally, and decide together what community projects and efforts they want to support to better the lives of all.
