News from Outreach Circle!

We want to share that Outreach Circle is actively developing new strategies to enhance the outreach efforts of all our circles. To streamline our efforts and keep everyone in the loop, we have created a comprehensive Event Calendar. This calendar will provide us with ample notice about upcoming events, allowing us to plan outreach tactics effectively.

✏️ Circle reports

International Circle

  • The International Circle has been diligently working on ideas for mutual support selection, fostering a collaborative environment within our community.
  • SoFA Italia: Our Italian chapter held productive discussions with the General Circle (GC), focusing on strategy and charter proposals. Despite the challenge of accommodating new members, we are striving for balance, ensuring everyone’s participation while progressing with our initiatives.
  • SoPra successfully renewed the SoPra Landing page, enhancing our online presence and accessibility.We secured a grant from SINGULAR for innovative projects, aiming to establish a prominent space in Spain for sociocratic training, particularly within educational settings.Our team has been actively engaging with the community, gathering feedback, and making improvements to our website.We are gearing up for the launch of the Academy in early 2024 and finalizing our strategic plan for 2024-27. The translation of “Let’s Decide Together” into Spanish and the creation of a guide for schools are significant milestones achieved this quarter.
  • SoTes introduced new roles related to membership in Portuguese, including the development of a membership guide and membership flow coordinator positions.Several key roles, such as Portuguese translation, publishing relations, and finance keepers, were introduced to alleviate the workload, fostering a more collaborative environment.The circle successfully organized the first in-person meeting, strengthening interpersonal connections and enhancing teamwork.
  • SoFra, The publication of “MVOS (Chaque Voix Compte)” is scheduled for the end of this year, marking a significant achievement for our French-speaking community.We are in the process of planning a promotional campaign for the book and an introductory webinar to create awareness and engage a wider audience.
  • SozFA is actively preparing for an upcoming conference scheduled for February, focusing on insightful discussions and knowledge sharing.
  • The International Seeding initiative kicked off with a productive first meeting. We introduced roles within the group, and Lea has been appointed as the leader, with Joann serving as the delegate.

Content Circle:

  • The Training Circle is strategically planning to make our Academy more modular, ensuring a flexible and engaging learning experience for all participants.We are exploring the introduction of badges in earlier classes, aiming to enhance participant engagement and motivation.Efforts are being made to integrate more individuals into SoFA’s certification system, creating a cohesive learning pathway for our members.

SoFA Support Services:

  • The Financial Wellbeing team has been actively exploring grants and fundraising shifts to sustain our initiatives. With Deborah transitioning out of the fundraising role, operations are being divided between Ted and Rhonda, with support from Kristen del Simone. Jerry is diligently working on compiling yearly financial information to ensure transparency and accountability.

Ecosystem Circle:

  • The Ecosystem Circle has been actively exploring the BIPOC sector, engaging in meaningful conversations to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community.We have been delving into discussions about two distinct approaches within SoFA: movement building and consultant business. Exploring the possibility of integrating both approaches to create a more comprehensive strategy for our organization.We are pleased to announce the formation of a new circle, “At Work,” primarily tailored for businesses. Kenric has assumed the role of leader, with Will serving as the delegate, ensuring a focused approach to addressing the unique needs of businesses within our community.Notable progress has been made in the documentation process, with several documents added to the policy manual on our forum, enhancing transparency and clarity within our organization.
  • Intentional communities team is diligently preparing for the upcoming conference scheduled for November 18. Additionally, efforts are underway to create a detailed description of the three stages of community development. This initiative aims to offer more targeted services, catering to the diverse needs of intentional communities.
  • The Nonprofits circle is actively working towards organizing a sector conference slated for February, aiming to facilitate collaborative efforts and knowledge sharing among nonprofit organizations within our community.
  • The Activism circle, although temporarily on pause, has garnered new interest, indicating potential future engagements and initiatives in the realm of activism and social change.
