Description
Brief presentation of “Wohnprojekt Wien (WPW)“, Austrias biggest Urban Ecovillage and Intentional Community, which was founded in 2009 and has been a pioneer for Sociocracy in german speaking Europe. Followed by a short presentation of the adaptation of socioracy that has evolved from the experience in WPW and other Communities. This includes no top circle and open (sociocratic) elections of the leaders of the main circles by the whole community plenary even with 100 people!
Bio
Heinz, born and raised at the Austrian side of Lake Constance in the DACH triangle (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) became a successful neoliberal Enterpreneur and „converted“ to a Low-Carbon-Life in Community after a one year sabbatical in the middle of his life. He has been a cofounder of the „Economy of the common good“ (https://www.ecogood.org), 2009 he initiated „Wohnprojekt Wien“ (https://wohnprojekt.wien/) where he lives happily ever since. In 2015 he cofounded Austrias first Housing-Development-COOP only for Intentional Communities (https://diewogen.at). Today Heinz works voluntarily on the board of the „Initiative Gemeinsam Bauen & Wohnen“ and for a living he works as a Consulter for Communities and Trainer for Sociocracy.
