Quantum Theory Both for And against Sociocracy

Description

What does quantum science and complexity say about decision-making, sense-making and co-creation? What does that imply for sociocracy? And, why should quantum theory even be relevant for sociocracy?

In this session I shall explore why quantum theory would argue both for and against sociocracy, and consider what the consequences of this may be for tackling our current societal crises (climate, health, psychological, economic, equity etc). Starting with Quantum Management we will take a brief tour around Unlearning, Dialogue, Social Learning, Multi-mind thinking and many other intriguing practices, but not from a scientific or academic point of view, but very much from a practical hands-on view, to help us find our way around different approaches.

This session will be half presentation, half small group conversations. The presentation is intended as a provocation to take us out of a narrow view of sociocracy and the world to a broader holistic perspective, and hopefully then generate lively conversations in groups around tackling societal issues or co-creating a new (better) world, and exploring what role sociocracy may play in all of this.
