Description
An experiential workshop with experimental ideas inspired from sociocracy. Participants will walk away with tools that will enable them to reflect on how they are embodying sociocratic principles, namely equivalence (making sure all parts of yourself are heard) and effectiveness (using understand-explore-decide to make sense of your life). If there is extra time, then participants could have the opportunity to draw their own circle structure of themselves. Based on the idea that the self is a multitude of circles, this workshop explores ways we could identify personal VMADs and draw circles based on those reflections.
Bio
Ian Goh. Ian’s mission is to enable others to develop our innate human capabilities so that together we can build a wiser, kinder world. To achieve this, he aims to spread ideas on building spaces that promote fairness and belonging (with sociocracy). He is also working on a open-access wiki that enables people to learn about human skills, tools and practices for free. It’s no surprise that his main drivers are learning and contribution, besides physical needs of course.
