• Able to write clearly and organization information well.
• Comfortable working with language barriers and ESL speakers and using some translation software.
• Comfortable with rudimentary use of a Kanban (from Agile) in Asana as a task management tool.

Circle reports

General Circle

• As part of SoFA’s commitment to language equity, the members of General Circle have been wrestling with the objectives around providing interpretation.  As leader of the Language Equity Helping Circle, Andy Grant provided a presentation around interpretation that clearly indicated that the helping circle has heard and responded to the feedback from General Circle, and the members were able to consent to the interpretation objectives!
• The circle members consented to the details of Rhonda Baird’s Organizational Development Role, and that conversation helped to renew the understanding among the members about how Rhonda helps to connect various threads within SoFA that emphasize growth through connecting with organizations.

Content Circle

• Within this department, Outreach Circle has developed a new action plan and begun several campaigns to increase awareness of SoFA and sociocracy with a focus on several specific media channels of interest.

Membership Circle

• This circle is almost finished with a new membership framework and membership agreement that clarify the requests that we make of both working and supporting members. Part of this work has involved looking closely at the circle leader role, and the various requests that we make of circle leaders within SoFA.
• In handing off to Continuing Education Circle aspects of sociocracy training that had been held by Membership Development Circle, the members of this Membership Circle have begun considering the other work that Membership Development Circle can do, such as organizing training for members related to our social justice commitment.
• The members of this circle took a look at the proposed Conflict Engagement Policy, which raised some tenderness and insight around their own experience of conflict within SoFA.

International Circle

• There is a lot of activity happening within various language circles connected to International Circle.
• SoFA Italia is working to restart their translation of Many Voices, One Song, and the circle is seeing a lot of interest in membership and certification.
• SoPra is very active, with various translation projects underway or completed, and a wide array of training happening. Their members are also in the process of applying for a grant.
