Hey friends!

It’s so fun to go on vacation and realize that things went pretty well without me. Yay team!

I received a lot of responses to my offer to connect in support of sociocracy in climate work — keep it coming!

Mission Circle

• Approved a document retention policy. Started to work on a conflict engagement policy for SoFA.

General Circle

• This circle began a rich conversation around how to plan for new people to take up existing roles in SoFA; in particular, the members discussed how SoFA might transition to a new Executive Director or Operational Leader (no concrete plans, just a wondering)! They explored many interesting dimensions of this topic; please see the meeting notes for details.
• The Language Equity Helping Circle has prepared a Language Equity Statement for SoFA, and they plan to provide a detailed report at the next General Circle meeting.

Content Circle

• The recent circle restructuring is reverberating throughout this department, and indeed throughout SoFA.
• Outreach Circle, a step in from Content Circle, is excited to bring some of the work of the former Audience Circle into its own domain. They are hoping to amplify what audiences they will be able to reach in the future.

• Mark your calendars for the second annual Sociocracy In Cooperatives Conference!  This conference is taking place on Thursday, June 23rd, and it has a unifying theme of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
