Jerry Koch-Gonzalez used to make this joke about sociocracy: “Before we used sociocracy, everyone knew how little we were doing. With sociocracy, no one knows how much we’re doing!”

So much is going on, and I don’t even know all of it. So fun! For example, SoFA has been promised a grant of $25,000, and then there’s the conference with SUCH exciting stories.

I know SoFA members are doing wonderful things in the world and in SoFA. What are little SoFA or sociocracy wins that you want to celebrate? I started a little-celebrations thread in the SoFA member forum. Share your stories there!

The Co-op Circle is calling for proposals for presentations at their second sector conference. Submissions are due April 21, 2022. Please spread the word!

• We have approved the Q2 budget!
• We continue to discuss our Theory Of Change and what we can learn from it for our own strategy.
• We’re focusing on our funding flow and attention to finances within SoFA.

Membership Circle

• In order to produce a policy manual, we have decided to ask for support from all SoFA circles.  Look for more about this when we discuss it with General Circle!
• We are working to clearly document the steps and key information around being a SoFA member.
• We’re also taking steps to provide members with a template for SoFA business cards and a process for producing those business cards!

Content Circle

• Training Circle started Academy Level 2 for trainer/consultant certification.
• We are working on consolidating the domains within Content Circle to see if we can work without having a Content Production Circle.
• SoFA will spend more attention to sales and follow-up.
• Forum circle has moved to be a sub-circle of Website circle. 
• Training Circle will administer the $25K grant.

• Marcelino is the new circle leader of Coop Circle. Sociocracy in Cooperatives Conference in June!
• Intentional Communities continuing with OKRs. New leadership (Pati), learning curve.
• Nonprofits: Website and sector survey in progress.
• Education: Community of Practice (CoP) almost doubling. New school consultants CoP in progress.
• Activist Circle sent out its first newsletter.
• OmCop is working to create value for organizational members, running several CoPs.
• Free and Open-Source Content Circle (FOSC). Working on survey, webpage, newsletter signup.
