Sociocratic governance agreements

Every formal implementation requires a governance agreement document – a description of the governance method in their context. Oftentimes, it’s the approval of this document that constitutes the formal adoption of sociocracy. We have several sample governance agreements that groups can take and adopt.
In this workshop, we will walk you through the sample governance agreement for a cohousing community (which, for the most part, will apply to many other contexts as well). You can ask questions along the way! We hope that many can go adapt their documents after this webinar.
Workshop presenter and SoFA team member Jerry Koch-Gonzalez was part of the author team of several sociocratic communities revising this document.
Note: there some overlap but a difference between governance agreements and by-laws. Governance agreements tend to be an internal document, like the constitution of the organization.
