@Work Community of Practice is a mutual support group for people practicing sociocracy at work. This community of practice is a space for people to share experiences or potential situations on implementing sociocracy in the workplace and get feedback.
Some examples of topics discussed in this meeting are:

Teaching business & project management: How to plant sociocracy seeds in students?

An organization is partially using sociocracy. What exercises can be used on various levels to better understand the values and practices behind sociocracy?

How do people previously in power (nursed by feeling they have power) feed by working sociocratically, when power is taken away?

Facilitating a general circle with very little attendance

Trying to put in place sociocracy in a project to sell insurance through a bank where most employees work part time. How to run a workshop to define circles and domains?
What is a community of practice?
- It’s a regular group with defined members – so we can build trusted relationships with each other.
- It’s open to people who are in sociocratic circles and hold facilitator roles in them.
We will support each other in all the questions that come up when using sociocracy at work.
What happens at a meeting?
We make up an on the fly agenda on each session with topics the participants want to discuss and we use the consent protocol to gather feedback and ideas on how to deal with the presented situation.

Who can join?
- working and supporting SoFA members (membership is $50/year).
- members of organizational members of SoFA

- If you’re not already a SoFA member you can attend your first session to try it out! If you would like to continue to attend after your first session, you will need to become a SoFA member.
If the time doesn’t work for you, please let us know, we could start another cohort if there is enough interest.
Meeting time
This community of practice meets on the second Monday of each month for 90 minutes. The next meeting will be on Monday, October 10th at 17 UTC.
