Community of Practice — Sociocracy For All in Cooperatives

This is a quarterly Community of Practice for people actively working in cooperatives and engaging questions of governance, participation, facilitation, and organizational structure.

Our gathering will take place on December 8 from 1 – 2pm ET and will be hosted by Michelle Tsutsumi and Jim Johnson from the Sociocracy For All Co-op Circle. Future sessions will continue quarterly with rotating facilitation and shared leadership from cooperative practitioners.

This space is intended for:

  • cooperative members and organizers exploring sociocracy in practice
  • people currently implementing or adapting governance systems in co-ops
  • facilitators, coordinators, and leaders navigating participation and decision-making challenges
  • sociocracy practitioners looking to connect more deeply with cooperative organizations

The goal is not only to discuss ideas, but to learn from real experience. Sessions may include:

  • governance troubleshooting
  • facilitation challenges
  • role and accountability questions
  • participation and engagement issues
  • peer exchange across different cooperative models
  • lessons learned from implementation efforts
Free Your first drop-in session is free. Ongoing participation in the Community of Practice will require becoming a SoFAN member.
