All classes include presentation, practice, and time for questions. The class will cover:
I help human-centered leaders interested in a new way of working to harness the capacity and power of individuals for innovation and collaboration through distributed decision-making systems. I see sociocracy as a clear method for building compassionate and productive teams.
Sociocracy found me when I consulted for a CEO who wished to embed it across the organization. I am now a Certified Practitioner, soon-to-be-Certified Facilitator, and am currently in Academy Level 2 to increase my comprehension and application. I also hold an MS, Organization Development; BS, Communication & Education; and am President for the Bay Area Organization Development Network.
Based in the territory of the Ohlone-Tamien people–also known as Santa Clara, CA–I love balancing simple joys like family game nights with planning my next adventure–whether multi-day wilderness backpacking, road trips, or learning a new language.
Emily:
My pronouns are she/her and I live on unceded, unsurrendered Anishnabēg Algonquin territory in so-called Cantley, Quebec. I’m a farmer, bartender and community advocate who learned about sociocracy through an interest in intentional communities. I aim to embody sociocracy everywhere I go and am currently working on my Academy 2 badges. I am particularly interested in land use, food systems, harm reduction and dismantling white supremacy 🙂
