Trainers

Elandriel

Elandriel Lewis is the Senior Manager of Early Learning and Training for the United Way of Greater Nashville and an adjunct professor at Nashville State Community College.  In these roles, she works with educators and leaders to ensure healthy workplace and school cultures that support lifelong educational and personal success for all members of the community.  Elandriel focuses much of her work around emotional intelligence skills and trauma-informed practices to better equip our communities to support a just and equitable future for all.  Elandriel is a graduate of SoFA Academy Level 1 and a SoFA certified facilitator and is currently a student in Academy Level working on her trainer certification.

Terri

Terri is a professor of sustainability and a former senior/executive level university administrator. She speaks, teaches, coaches, and consults in service to helping higher education do better and be better. She believes deeply in shared and participatory governance, and the need to call on our shared humanity and uphold responsibility to all our relations as we move into the Anthropocene and respond to the coming Collapse. It is this that brings her to Sociocracy. She seeks to build the human capacity needed to lead toward a positive future.
Her background is a little unusual for an academic: she is a trained coach and facilitator, with a Ph.D. in ecosystem ecology. She is a hopeless nerd and academic, and the happiest when reading, learning new things, and/or outside running, hiking, or biking.
