His main focus is sociocracy. After his PhD in linguistics and work in Academia\, he co-founded the membership organization Sociocracy For All in 2016 which has grown to 250 members with several international and topic-focused departments and action teams. Ted spends his days consulting with mission-driven organizations\, teaching and deeply immersed in the work as a member within Sociocracy For All. Ted identifies as a transgender man; he has 5 children between 10 and 20. A German citizen\, he has lived in Massachusetts since 2010. He is (co)-author of three books on self-governance\, Many Voices One Song (2018)\, Who Decides Who Decides (2021)\, and Collective Power (2023) and working on a book on the interface between governance and wisdom. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nZujeil Flores\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nZujeil Flores has been engaged with Sociocracy for All since 2018\, first as a student and now as a trainer and consultant\, including coordinating the first Spanish-language Sociocracy Academy (2021–2022). She guides groups in understanding power dynamics and designing inclusive\, responsive governance systems rooted in their shared purpose. \n\n\n\nWith a master’s in public health and a background in trauma-informed practices\, Zujeil sees decision-making\, shared power\, and navigating differences as central to personal and collective health. SUMMARY:Psychological Safety and Conflict Resolution Planning
DESCRIPTION:About this class\n\n\n\nHow can sociocracy create a culture where all voices can be heard\, disagreement is welcome\, and people feel comfortable to be themselves? This training will highlight how the concepts of psychological safety and generative conflict can be intentionally cultivated through your facilitation and implementation of sociocracy. This is for you if:  \n\n\n\n\nYou have struggled to hold objections or disagreements when they arise\n\n\n\nYour group tends to agree to every proposal\n\n\n\nThere is a lot of similarity of experience and opinion in your group \n\n\n\nPeople get activated in your meetings and struggle to stay engaged \n\n\n\nYou’re not sure what steps of conflict response should happen in a circle meeting \n\n\n\nThe same conflicts and tensions have been coming up for years\n\n\n\nYou’ve had a lot of membership turnover in your group\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTrainer\n\n\n\nMichelle Tsutsumi \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMichelle Tsutsumi (she/her) lives in Secwepemcúl’ecw (BC\, Canada) and brings a depth of experience from her background in sensorimotor trauma therapy\, organic farming\, and communications. For over 20 years\, Michelle has used a systems lens to co-create participatory spaces where justice and equity are more structurally present within the nonprofit\, food justice\, and co-operative sectors. Through the workers co-op that she co-founded\, Michelle co-designs processes that enact anti-oppression\, community building\, and decolonial practices within self and organizations. Michelle became a Certified Sociocracy Facilitator in 2023 and a Certified Sociocracy Trainer in 2025. She currently holds the leader role in the SoFAN Co-op Circle and the SoFA English Practitioner Support Circle\, which tends to Academy and additional learning spaces. She is especially interested in practices that facilitate emergent spaces and the stamina to navigate transitions. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nLeander Roth\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeander Roth is the co-founder and mythematician of worker coop Spring Up\, and co-host of the podcast Getting Free Together. He has a background in sociology\, entrepreneurship\, and restorative / transformative justice. Leander is a systems thinker and conflict strategist who enjoys supporting organizations in building shared power and decentralization. Some of their trainings through Spring Up include: Harm Systems Design\, Power and Consent in Decision Making\, Conflict and Consensus\, and Getting Free Together.
